One of the reasons all women are beautiful is because they all come in different shapes and sizes. Not one woman is exactly like another; each woman is unique and special. Despite this, most women want to look their best. One way to do this is dress in a manner that will make your specific shape and size look great. Follow these guidelines any will you be able to dress to flatter your body type. Once you know how to do it, dressing to compliment your body type is easy. All it takes are a few easy tips to follow.

Follow Tips:
1.  Apple Shaped
1)    Buy blouses that fit you at your bust. Make sure they don’t cling to your body. Wrap-around tops work well for your shape. Choose jackets that have long lapels.
2)    Avoid empire-waist tops and turtlenecks. V-neck, boat and collared tops usually work best. Experiment with light and bright colors for you shirts and blouses.

3)    Wear darker colored pants and skirts. To hide excessive weight in your middle, wear higher waistlines. Purchase pants that wide-legged.

2.  Pear Shaped
4)    You want to emphasize your upper half to balance out your lower half. Flared or boot cut pants (not overly so, however) in a solid or subtle pattern, preferable neutrals, work well, as do A-line skirts that flare away from your body. Just above the knee works well. Avoid pants that are too low cut and bottoms that are tight.

5)    Wear black tops and blouses that will make you look slimmer. Try sleeveless t-shirts and tops. Experiment with different looks that brings the eye upward.

6)      Up top, you want something with some shape to it--a structured jacket, a well-defined-top (especially a moderate V-neck, which will draw attention up) or a fun. The goal is to draw attention up, towards your face.
Draw the eyes up by wearing tops with patterns and color. Wide necklines will have the same effect. Dresses and skirts should fall at your knee. Avoid anything that is clingy. Add a great necklace to draw attention away from the bottom half of your body as well
7)      Heels look better than flats on almost any occasion, but if you must do a flat, find one with a pointed toe. This will elongate the leg line.

8)   Low-rise pants are a great choice for the woman who is pear shaped. Avoid pants with side pockets; they will only emphasis your hips. Wide or boot cut pants will draw the eye away from your hips.

3.  Plus-Size
9)    Wear clothes that fit. Oversized clothes only add bulk and make you look larger. Look for tops and blouses that have details at the neckline to bring the eye to your face.

10)  Patterns are fine as long as they match your body size. Try vertical stripes that are proportionate to your body size to make the eye look up and down instead of side to side.

11)  Choose outfits that are monotone. All clothing should have some stretch to it. Find the smallest part of your waist and accentuate this area with a belt.

4.  Tall
12)    A skirt just below the knee will balance out a taller person.

13)    If you are self-conscious about being tall, avoid heels. Wear flats, or shoes with kitten heels, which give the effect of wearing a heel without adding much height.

14)    A higher neck (but not turtleneck) will also help balance out a taller figure. Think crewneck or cowl neck shirts.

15)    Fitted clothes like structured shirts and jackets, and straight-legged pants will help balance out a tall figure.

16)    Horizontal or diagonal patterns on clothes will draw attention across the body, rather than up and down the way vertical stripes do.

5.  Boyish Figure/ Rectangler Shape
17)  Buy baby doll blouses and dresses with ruffles and details around your bust. Bring attention to your shoulders, neck and face by wearing spaghetti straps and tank tops.

18)  Shop for clothing that will define your waist. Experiment with different types of belts that will bring attention to your curves. Lots of color, textures and patterns look great on you.
19)  Look for clothing that will make you look taller; avoid cropped tops and t-shirts. Skirts look great on women with boyish figures. Avoid boot cut pants and jeans; wear straight leg pants instead.

6.  Short
20)    Obviously an easy fix is heels--the higher they are, the taller you look. Pointy toes will also help lengthen the leg line.

21)    Wear vertical stripes. Not only are they slimming, but they tend to lengthen the body. Avoid any horizontal patterns. You want to draw the eye up and down, not across.

22)    Avoid skirts below the knee. Just above the knee is most flattering for short figures.
23)    Same with dresses--pick ones that end just above the knee.

24)    A low or moderate V-neck will elongate the neck and torso, making you appear taller.

7) Top Heavy
25)    Essentially, you want to balance your upper and lower body. If you are top heavy, you want to create more volume on the bottom and minimize the volume up top. The first step for top heavy people is to get a good bra--make sure it lifts and keeps everything in place.

26)    A darker silhouette on top will minimize a larger chest. Think dark colors or subtle patterns.

27)    A longer, tunic-style top will lengthen the upper body, slimming it.

Tips For Every Body Type:
·         Bright colors or patterns draw attention to an area. Use these on areas you are trying to play up.
·         Darker colors, subtle patterns and neutrals (other than white) play down an area. Use these on "problem" areas. Also, avoid tight clothes on problem areas.
·         A structured jacket is a great addition to nearly any outfit and looks great on all body types.
·         Heels and pointed toes will make your legs look longer and slimmer.
·         Balance--if one article is tight, make the other loose, or vice versa. Balance a short skirt with a turtleneck. A super-low cut shirt can be balanced out with a pair of wide leg pants.
·         Vertical stripes are always taller/more slimming, while horizontal stripes will give you volume.
·         Walking in heels is better exercise than walking in flats, but don't get too high of a heel or you'll have back and foot pain.

  5. The book is great, but this review is not exactly spot-on. Being a Superhero is more about selecting foods that heal your body, not just eating meat/dairy-free. Processed foods like those mentioned in this review arent what Alicia is trying to promote. If you arent open to sea vegetables (and yes, Im talking sea weed), just stop at vegan. click resources
